About the Role

You will write high-quality, well-tested backend code, review others' work, collaborate cross-functionally, lead execution end-to-end, guide peers, drive strategic initiatives, design and operate highly available cloud systems, manage projects through release and monitoring, build systems from 0 to 1, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of software engineering experience
  • Excellent coding skills
  • Deep understanding of cloud architectures
  • Knowledge of algorithms
  • Strong debugging capabilities
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining large-scale cloud production systems with high availability
  • Experience managing projects through release management and operational monitoring
  • Experience building systems from 0 to 1
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers
  • Technical lead experience is a nice to have
  • Time-series monitoring or observability experience is a nice to have
  • Computer science degree is a nice to have
  • TypeScript experience is a nice to have
  • AWS experience is a nice to have

Responsibilities

  • Write high-quality, well-tested backend code
  • Review code from other team members
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to turn requirements into shipped products
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to peers
  • Drive strategic technical initiatives across engineering pods
  • Manage projects from requirements through release and operational monitoring
  • Design, build, and maintain large-scale cloud production systems with high availability
  • Build systems from the ground up
  • Mentor junior engineers
