About the Role
You will design, build, and operate backend services, APIs, data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and operational tooling for digital-twin and simulation workloads. You will develop CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code workflows, monitor system health and security, maintain documentation, and support production deployments.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of backend development, DevOps, cloud engineering, platform engineering, or related software engineering experience
- Backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript-heavy or shared monorepo environments
- Experience designing scalable backend services, APIs, data-processing services, and distributed systems
- Hands-on Google Cloud Platform experience
- Experience managing cloud infrastructure, security, monitoring, logging, and cost optimization
- Experience with CI/CD, deployment automation, containerization, and DevOps practices
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes or managed container services
- Experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools
- Experience with data pipelines, event-driven systems, and real-time data streams
- Experience with databases and messaging or streaming technologies
- English proficiency
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operate backend services, APIs, and cloud applications
- Implement data services and real-time processing pipelines
- Build event-driven and job-oriented backend workflows
- Support simulation orchestration on Google Cloud services
- Manage cloud compute, storage, networking, deployment, monitoring, logging, and security
- Develop CI/CD pipelines and container-based deployment workflows
- Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform
- Monitor system health, performance, reliability, cost, and security
- Maintain backend, cloud architecture, deployment, and operational documentation
