About the Role
You will build and scale payments infrastructure for deposits, withdrawals, and money movement. You will design migrations to distributed services, integrate payment processors and banking rails, deliver regulated financial features, own production on-call, mentor engineers, and improve team processes.
Requirements
- Senior-level backend engineering experience with payments, fintech, or financial-data integrations
- Experience leading migrations from legacy or monolithic systems to distributed services
- Experience with Go, gRPC, DynamoDB, or MySQL
- Experience delivering regulated or high-stakes financial features such as KYC/EDD, fraud checks, and reconciliation
- Experience owning production on-call for money-movement systems
- Experience mentoring engineers and driving team processes
- Experience deploying systems in AWS or GCP and using containers
Responsibilities
- Design and lead migrations from legacy or monolithic systems to reliable distributed payments services
- Build and maintain integrations with payment processors, banking rails, and card networks
- Partner with Product, Compliance, and Design to deliver regulated financial features
- Own production on-call for money-movement systems
- Mentor engineers and onboard new hires
- Lead backlog grooming and technical-debt reduction
- Collaborate with platform engineers to integrate payments systems
