About the Role
You will design and build production-grade Go microservices and APIs for domestic payment rails. You will implement provider routing and fallback logic, support compliant onboarding and transaction flows, create technical designs, and improve system reliability, observability, security, code quality, and engineering practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Backend engineering expertise with Go
- Experience building production-grade APIs and distributed systems
- Experience with event-driven or webhook-based third-party integrations
- Knowledge of reliability, security, and auditability for transactional systems
- Ability to reverse-engineer existing flows, define interfaces, and design for parallel delivery
- Cross-functional collaboration with product, compliance, operations, and external partners
- Cloud infrastructure and modern engineering workflows including AWS, containers, relational databases, and streaming or messaging
Responsibilities
- Design and build production-grade backend microservices and APIs in Go
- Implement provider fallback and routing logic with feature-flagged rollouts and safe rollbacks
- Support fraud detection and onboarding or KYC integrations
- Create functional specifications, technical design documents, and delivery estimates
- Design reliable, auditable, secure, and observable systems
- Review code, provide technical guidance, and mentor squad members
