About the Role
You will design, implement, and maintain scalable, resilient backend services used by millions of users. You will build services through their full lifecycle, from domain modeling and prototyping to testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support. You will improve code quality, decompose monoliths into microservices, manage data migrations, optimize performance, and implement observability practices. You will collaborate with DevOps, product managers, and engineers to deliver reliable integrations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in Java or Kotlin and the Spring framework ecosystem
- Experience with observability tools, including logging, monitoring, and tracing
- Solid understanding of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis
- Hands-on experience in domain modeling and REST API design
- Track record of delivering scalable and maintainable systems
- Ability to design schemas, optimize queries, and ensure data consistency
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement robust, scalable backend systems supporting millions of active users
- Build and maintain services from model design through production support
- Prototype, implement, test, deploy, and monitor backend services
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews
- Decompose monolithic applications into microservices
- Manage large-scale data migrations and optimize system performance
- Implement logging, monitoring, and tracing practices
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks
- Collaborate with DevOps, product managers, and engineers on integrations and deliverables
