About the Role
You will design and build backend services, APIs, and data models for accounting workflows. You will ensure financial data remains accurate and traceable through coding, reconciliation, and synchronization, improve workflow reliability and visibility, and own projects from design through monitoring and iteration. You will collaborate on practical technical designs and contribute through design reviews, code reviews, and mentorship.
Requirements
- Experience designing, building, and operating production backend systems, including APIs, data models, and asynchronous workflows
- Strong system design judgment regarding data correctness, reliability, and understandable systems
- Track record of independently owning complex projects and shipping high-quality software
- Ability to investigate problems across services and data flows and deliver durable improvements
- Clear communication and a collaborative approach to technical decisions and feedback
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services, APIs, and data models for accounting workflows
- Ensure financial data is accurate, traceable, and resilient through coding, reconciliation, and sync
- Improve the reliability and visibility of workflows spanning Ramp and customers' accounting systems
- Partner with product and engineering teammates to develop practical technical designs
- Own projects from design and implementation through launch, monitoring, and iteration
- Raise the engineering bar through design reviews, code reviews, and mentorship
