About the Role
You act as the technical interface between estimating, customers, and engineering and manufacturing teams. You define electrical scopes, translate customer requirements into technical specifications, prepare cost estimates and proposals, create preliminary electrical designs and bills of materials, review vendor packages, size components, and coordinate the transition from proposals to design engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- Three years of experience in manufacturing, construction, or a project environment
- One or more years of experience in applications, project estimating, or technical sales
- Understanding of low-voltage and medium-voltage power distribution systems
- Knowledge of control panels and associated equipment
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAD software
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Experience with modular building construction, industrial controls, or automation systems is a plus
- Familiarity with UL standards is a plus
- Experience with QA/QC, Factory Acceptance Testing, and technical documentation is a plus
Responsibilities

- Create one-line diagrams and preliminary control schematics
- Prepare bills of materials
- Review vendor bid packages and submittals
- Specify and size electrical components according to codes and project guidelines
- Coordinate proposal and submittal handoffs with project and design engineering teams
