About the Role

You will prepare and file SEC and utility regulatory reports, standalone financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and supporting schedules. You will lead XBRL tagging, monitor accounting and SEC developments, coordinate audits and SOX testing, evaluate reporting impacts, and contribute to process improvements and financial-reporting projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA or progress toward CPA designation preferred
  • 3+ years of public accounting or SEC reporting experience
  • Understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and time-management skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Workiva, SAP, utility-industry, and FERC reporting experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare timely SEC filings and standalone financial statements
  • Lead preparation and filing of Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and utility regulatory filings
  • Draft and review financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and supporting schedules
  • Lead XBRL tagging and review
  • Monitor SEC regulations and FASB pronouncements
  • Collaborate with auditors and internal stakeholders during reviews and audits
  • Ensure SOX Section 404 internal-control compliance and support audit testing
  • Contribute to process improvements, system implementations, technical accounting analyses, and ad hoc reporting
