About the Role
You will lead engineering work for self-driving systems in Tokyo. You will own technical delivery for Japanese customers, partner with OEM engineering teams, set the engineering roadmap and architecture, and guide scalable behavior systems for L2 and L4 autonomous vehicles.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building shipped software for autonomous vehicles, robotics, or ADAS
- Strong C++ and production-quality code experience in safety-relevant or real-time systems
- Depth in at least two areas: perception, prediction, behavior and motion planning, control, sensor fusion, on-vehicle systems, or middleware
- Experience taking a system from prototype to on-vehicle deployment
- Ability to architect large-scale production software for robotic or automotive systems
- Leadership experience managing engineering teams, setting goals, and overseeing technical projects
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Lead engineers building and deploying scalable vehicle behavior systems
- Own technical delivery of self-driving systems for Japanese customers
- Serve as the primary technical partner to Japanese OEM engineering teams
- Define the Tokyo engineering roadmap with headquarters self-driving-system teams
- Drive strategy, technical roadmap, and architecture for L2 and L4 autonomous vehicles
