About the Role
You will secure servers throughout their lifecycle, from supply chain and provisioning to decommissioning. You will maintain hardened OS images, automate vulnerability scanning and patching, enforce BMC security, implement encryption and key management, partner on network security, lead threat modeling, and respond to fleet incidents.
Requirements
- Information security or infrastructure engineering experience focused on bare metal, IaaS, or high-scale cloud infrastructure
- Linux hardening expertise
- Network security knowledge
- Encryption implementation experience
- Knowledge of HSMs and trusted computing
- Python, Go, or Rust automation experience
- Configuration management experience with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end security for the bare metal server fleet
- Maintain hardened OS images, vulnerability scanning, patch pipelines, and drift detection
- Define and enforce the BMC security model
- Partner on micro-segmentation, IDS/IPS, firewall architecture, and zero-trust controls
- Implement data-at-rest encryption, key management, and secure storage access
- Lead threat modeling and security reviews
- Respond to incidents affecting the physical fleet
