About the Role

You will own security engineering across applications, infrastructure, and incident response. You will partner with product and platform teams during design, build and ship security automation, harden cloud and CI/CD paths, create detection and response workflows, and drive remediation through to closure. You will establish security controls, reviews, logging, identity hardening, secret-management standards, and control-evidence reporting.

Requirements

  • Extensive hands-on experience in security engineering, product security, cloud security, or detection and response engineering in production environments
  • Expertise securing cloud-based systems, including IAM, networking, logging, key management, and workload isolation
  • Experience securing CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience building a security automation or detection capability used in production
  • Experience in fintech, payments, banking, or another regulated environment with audit and control-evidence requirements
  • Experience with SIEM/SOAR and cloud security platforms
  • Ability to work in the Berlin office three days per week
  • Ability to relocate to Berlin if not currently located there

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end security engineering across applications, infrastructure, and incident response
  • Partner with product and platform teams during design
  • Build and ship security automation in production
  • Lead incident response and drive remediation to closure
  • Enforce a secure software development lifecycle for critical services
  • Build an AI-native product-security review pipeline
  • Harden cloud workloads, CI/CD paths, workload identities, and secret management
  • Build detection and response workflows
  • Implement runtime audit logging and dependency monitoring
  • Report monthly control evidence to Security and Compliance
