About the Role

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring AlphaSense delivers the highest-quality proprietary research content within your assigned sector. Reporting to the Director of Research for E&I, you will oversee the day-to-day execution of Directed Content projects, ensuring all work meets the firm's standards for quality, relevance, and end-user value delivery. As Sector Lead, you will manage coverage of EMEA and APAC companies. You will combine operational rigor with sector expertise to oversee a team of Project Managers responsible for generating expert call transcripts across a diverse range of topics within your coverage universe. Your responsibilities will span project setup, expert sourcing guidance, transcript quality assurance, budget oversight, and performance management. You will also serve as a key stakeholder in developing and optimizing project workflows, implementing structured QA and feedback loops, and partnering with Product and Operations teams to pilot new AI-enabled tools that elevate both efficiency and insight quality.

Requirements

5–7 years of experience in equity research, market intelligence, consulting, or a related analytical role within Energy & Industrials (E&I)
Deep domain expertise in Energy & Industrials (E&I) with strong grasp of key players, business models, and industry trends
Strong understanding of European and Asian equity markets
Proven people management experience leading, mentoring, and developing teams of project managers or analysts
Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable research projects
Exceptional organizational, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
Strong command of project economics, budget management, and ROI tracking
Ability to work cross-functionally with Directors of Research, Go-to-Market, Product, and Compliance
Strong understanding of compliance, MNPI, and confidentiality standards

Responsibilities

Partner with the Director of Research to develop and maintain a strategic sector roadmap and translate it into a structured execution plan
Manage and mentor a team of Project Managers overseeing Directed Content projects, setting clear goals, tracking KPIs, and ensuring accountability
Collaborate with Operations Managers to align operational KPIs to coverage strategy and optimize execution
Own expert budget management for the sector, allocating resources to maximize content ROI while maintaining quality and throughput
Oversee a structured QA process ensuring transcripts meet standards for data accuracy, relevance, structure, and analytical depth
Collaborate with the Director of Research and Content Strategy Analyst to monitor engagement data, identify coverage gaps, and recalibrate project pipelines
Collaborate with the Director of Research to identify and shape content supporting revenue-generating efforts such as white papers, webinars, and presentations
Establish and maintain feedback loops with call takers and project teams to enhance quality and insight of future content
Collaborate with North America directed content teams to ensure high quality output and consistency
Partner with Operations and Product teams to pilot and optimize AI-enabled tools that improve project throughput, QA precision, and efficiency
Maintain deep familiarity with developments within the Energy & Industrials sector, surfacing new themes and companies
