About the Role

You will validate peptide candidates using mammalian cell culture and cell-based functional, safety, and developability assays. You will run cytotoxicity, hemolysis, permeability, immunogenicity, and receptor-activation assays; analyze dose responses; maintain laboratory documentation; and share results with computational and AI colleagues to guide peptide selection.

Requirements

  • PhD in a relevant life-sciences field or an MSc with equivalent hands-on laboratory experience
  • Hands-on mammalian cell culture experience
  • Flow cytometry expertise using antibody panels and fluorescent reporters
  • Experience with cell-based functional and signaling assays
  • Ability to independently manage multi-step, multi-day assays
  • Experience with hemolysis or peptide membrane-toxicity assays
  • Knowledge of proteolytic and serum stability assays
  • Experience with permeability or barrier models
  • Experience with immunogenicity risk-assessment tools, epitope prediction software, or PBMC-based assays

Responsibilities

  • Perform mammalian cell culture
  • Design and execute cell-based cytotoxicity and viability assays
  • Run hemolysis assays for peptide candidates
  • Run cell permeability assays
  • Support immunogenicity risk assessment using in silico and PBMC-based approaches
  • Run GLP-1R and related incretin receptor activation assays
  • Support establishment of stable reporter and receptor cell lines
  • Generate and fit dose-response curves for potency and safety endpoints
  • Prepare peptide stock and working solutions
  • Support fungal susceptibility assays
  • Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks and contribute to reports and figures
  • Relay experimental results to computational and AI colleagues
  • Design cell-based assay strategies and propose follow-on testing
  • Mentor junior staff and set assay-development priorities at Senior Scientist level
