About the Role
You will develop and optimize high-throughput workflows for screening protein variant libraries and measuring protein interactions. You will design and execute molecular biology, biochemistry, and assay pipelines; generate reliable datasets; lead experimental projects; improve throughput and data quality; and partner with machine learning colleagues to integrate experimental outputs.
Requirements
- PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, biophysics, synthetic biology, bioengineering, or a related field
- Demonstrated creativity in method development
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects while documenting processes and organizing data
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize workflows for high-throughput protein-protein interaction library screening
- Build and optimize in vitro or cell-based assay pipelines across display and screening modalities
- Design and execute molecular biology and biochemistry frameworks for library construction and data generation
- Establish repeatable assays with statistical rigor for machine learning model training and evaluation
- Lead projects from experimental design through data delivery
- Improve throughput, data quality, repeatability, and workflow efficiency
- Partner with machine learning colleagues to define data requirements and integrate experimental outputs
- Communicate results, insights, and technical challenges across disciplines
