About the Role
You will own partner-lab integrations from discovery through the first closed-loop campaign. You will shape product roadmaps, write requirements and acceptance criteria, map laboratory workflows and data systems, and work with researchers to design and validate optimisation campaigns.
Requirements
- PhD in materials science, chemistry, physics, chemical engineering, or a related experimental discipline, or equivalent scientific-research experience
- Experience with high-throughput or automated experimentation
- Experience translating scientific or process needs into requirements for engineering, software, or automation teams
- Understanding of experimental data production, metadata, provenance, data quality, and machine-learning usability
- Depth in at least one materials domain
- Working knowledge of Python for data handling and analysis
- Comfort working with APIs and data schemas
- Experience collaborating with external partner labs and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities
- Shape and prioritise the roadmap for experimental data, protocols, and campaigns
- Write requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria for platform integrations
- Lead technical discovery with partner labs
- Own partner-lab onboarding from scoping through the first closed-loop campaign
- Create reusable onboarding patterns and documentation
- Represent the product in partner meetings, workshops, and conferences
- Design optimisation campaigns with machine-learning researchers
- Define campaign validation, benchmarks, success metrics, and partner evidence
