About the Role

You will listen to Russian audio and transcribe it into clear, accurate written text. You will identify and label speakers and structure the dialogue. You will apply correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation and follow the provided formatting and style guide. You will handle natural speech including overlapping talk and varying accents. You will proofread your own work to ensure transcripts are accurate and easy to read. You will meet reasonable turnaround times on the audio assigned to you.

Requirements

  • Native or near native fluency in Russian (Russia dialect; applicants must be located outside Russia in one of the eligible countries selected for this posting).
  • Strong written Russian: grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • A good ear for different accents, dialects, and varying audio quality.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency.
  • Able to work independently, manage your own time, and meet deadlines.
  • A reliable computer and internet connection.
  • No prior transcription experience required — full guidelines and a calibration are provided.
  • Nice to have (not required): Previous audio transcription experience (podcasts, interviews, media, captioning, or similar).
  • Nice to have (not required): Experience with transcription or subtitling tools.
  • Nice to have (not required): Experience with bilingual transcription or translation.
