About the Role
You will build, operate, test, and troubleshoot integrated mechanical and electrical systems. You will create prototype electromechanical assemblies, conduct validation testing, develop test plans, identify design issues, maintain test stands, collect data, and help manage laboratory equipment and workspaces.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience building and debugging electromechanical test setups or fixtures
- Experience with oscilloscopes, power supplies, programmable loads, and thermal probes
- Ability to multitask and change priorities quickly
- Ability to communicate test results verbally, in spreadsheets or databases, and in written reports or slide decks
- Eligibility to work in the United States
Responsibilities
- Manage laboratory resources, including robots, payloads, test infrastructure, and test equipment
- Build complex prototype electromechanical subassemblies
- Conduct design-validation testing for robot subsystems
- Troubleshoot system failures and identify root causes
- Create test plans and procedures
- Identify design issues and recommend corrective actions
- Design custom test fixtures or robot subsystems using CAD
- Plan laboratory equipment, workspaces, and project timelines
- Maintain long-running test-stand experiments and communicate unexpected results
