About the Role
You will solve technical and scientific challenges in motion planning, control, packing, and system design for industrial robots. You will design, develop, and test algorithms for picking, packing, and material handling; build performance-critical concurrent software; optimize real-time communications; and support proofs of concept and customer deployments.
Requirements
- Degree in computer science, robotics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
- At least 3 years of practical or research experience in robotics or software engineering
- Proficiency in C++ and Python
- Knowledge of linear algebra, 3D geometry, and their robotics applications
- Linux development experience
- Business-level Japanese or English
Responsibilities
- Solve motion-planning, control, packing, and system-design challenges for industrial robots
- Design, develop, and test algorithms for picking, packing, and material-handling tasks
- Build performance-critical concurrent software systems
- Implement and optimize real-time communication modules with robot controllers and peripheral equipment using C/C++
- Collaborate with project management and integration teams to support proofs of concept and customer deployments
