About the Role

You will prototype and test software on hardware in lab and jobsite settings. You will improve kinematics, algorithms, and software features; build proof-of-concept algorithms; troubleshoot deployment issues; and use simulations, experiments, and analyses to make engineering decisions.

Requirements

  • Experience with software and electromechanical systems through an internship, extracurricular project, or lab research.
  • Knowledge of robotics and control, including kinematics, sensor fusion, path planning, perception, calibration algorithms, and firmware development.
  • Experience developing on hardware systems using ROS, Python, and C++.
  • Familiarity with revision control and CI/CM.
  • Experience deploying code on physical hardware and debugging mechanical, electrical, and software issues.

Responsibilities

  • Prototype and test software on hardware platforms in labs and customer jobsites.
  • Investigate, modify, and refine system kinematics, algorithms, and software features.
  • Generate prototype and proof-of-concept algorithms.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, root-cause, and resolve deployment issues.
  • Create simulations, run experiments, and conduct engineering analyses.
