About the Role

This role maintains operational integrity by leading field audit efforts in Sierra Leone, supporting compliance and internal control programs, assisting with fraud operations, and coordinating local execution of global risk and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or audit.
  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Business & Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience in mobile money operations or financial services is an added advantage.
  • Proven experience in team management.
  • Experience in AML.
  • Work authorization in Sierra Leone is required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate field audit activities, including agent audits, spot checks, and reconciliations.
  • Escalate and address deficiencies identified during field audits.
  • Monitor control measures and escalate breaches or gaps.
  • Support internal control frameworks across business functions.
  • Monitor KYC and agent onboarding controls.
  • Participate in incident reviews and remediation follow-up.
  • Support AML and CFT investigations and submit Suspicious Transaction Reports to the Financial Intelligence Authority.
  • Contribute to the compliance program and provide regulatory guidance and training.
  • Conduct partner due diligence requests and prepare regulatory compliance reports.
  • Identify and evaluate operational risks with functional teams.
  • Coordinate fraud investigations or awareness efforts and escalate fraud trends to regional and global teams.
