About the Role
You will own cooling, piping, and airflow systems from released drawings through rate production. You will work daily on the manufacturing floor, resolve mechanical RFIs and assembly issues, perform first-article reviews, fit checks, and pressure tests, and incorporate learnings into controlled drawings, tolerances, and the BOM.
Requirements
- Hands-on mechanical systems engineering experience for complex physical products or modular construction
- Experience working on a shop floor or production line and dispositioning nonconformances
- Experience supporting production launches of own designs
- Experience running first-article builds and pressure tests
- Ability to maintain configuration control and controlled revisions
Responsibilities
- Own mechanical systems for the modular product through rate production
- Walk the Phoenix manufacturing floor daily and resolve piping and assembly issues
- Run first-article reviews, fit checks, and pressure tests
- Answer mechanical RFIs and engineer fixes into subsequent revisions
- Incorporate manufacturing learnings into drawings, tolerances, and the BOM
