About the Role

You will build and maintain computational biology pipelines and infrastructure for experimental programs. You will analyze large biological datasets, develop testable hypotheses with experimental biologists, use AI-agent frameworks, and communicate results to biologists and machine-learning researchers.

Requirements

• PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, genomics, biophysics, machine learning, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent industry research experience
• End-to-end computational biology research experience with evidence of impact
• Breadth across multiple areas of computational biology
• Scientific programming proficiency
• Experience working with large datasets in Linux and cloud-compute environments
• Ability to scope ambiguous biological analyses and produce actionable results
• Ability to communicate results to biologists and ML researchers
• Experience building LLM-based tools, pipelines, or agentic systems, or training biological sequence models

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain computational analysis pipelines for experimental programs
• Analyze biological sequences, structures, genomes, and functional-screen data
• Partner with experimental biologists to design experiments and interpret results
• Generate and prioritize hypotheses using literature, curated knowledge bases, and primary data
• Maintain data-ingestion, workflow-orchestration, database, and researcher-access infrastructure
• Use Claude and internal agent frameworks and provide model-improvement evaluations and datasets
• Conduct analyses across projects as priorities shift
