About the Role
You will develop ensemble-aware validation standards and foundational infrastructure for dynamic structural biology data. You will define validation metrics and forward models across crystallography, cryo-EM, and related techniques; guide data deposition, search, and retrieval tools; and translate scientific requirements into robust technical solutions with technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in structural biology, biophysics, computational biology, or a related field
- Demonstrated expertise in structural biology methods
- Deep understanding of structural heterogeneity and dynamics in biomolecular systems
- Experience with data standards, metadata frameworks, or scientific database development
- Collaborative skills and ability to build consensus across diverse scientific communities
Responsibilities
- Oversee development of ensemble-aware validation frameworks assessing fit-to-data, physical realism, and uncertainty across structural representations
- Identify and prioritize technical challenges in data representation and validation frameworks
- Guide creation of data deposition, search, and retrieval tools for structural heterogeneity
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure interoperability and adoption
- Translate scientific requirements into robust technical solutions with software developers, data engineers, and user experience designers
