About the Role

You will provide regulatory guidance on products and services, assess regulatory developments, and advise stakeholders on required actions. You will execute compliance monitoring, support regulatory submissions and reporting, maintain policies, coordinate training, manage regulatory interactions, and help remediate oversight and audit findings.

Requirements

  • At least four years of mid-level experience in compliance, regulatory risk, or risk management within financial services.
  • Experience interacting with regulators, managing responses and notifications, and supporting inspections, audits, and thematic reviews.
  • Familiarity with regulatory submissions, licence applications, and reporting.
  • Experience with oversight functions, key risk indicators, and compliance advisory for new initiatives, products, and services.
  • Background in banking, fintech, payments or e-money firms, or regulatory consultancy.
  • Experience with FCA-regulated firms is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulations, research requirements, and advise internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational, drafting, analytical, and risk-assessment skills.
  • Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

  • Provide regulatory guidance on product and service development and conduct compliance assessments for new initiatives.
  • Research UK regulatory developments, assess their impact, and advise on necessary actions.
  • Execute the Compliance Monitoring Plan and address monitoring findings with stakeholders.
  • Support regulatory submissions, licence applications, periodic reports, and responses to information requests.
  • Ensure accurate and timely regulatory reporting and conduct oversight checks.
  • Maintain and update compliance policies in line with UK and FCA regulations.
  • Support regulatory engagements, strategic planning, and governance.
  • Lead and participate in Regulatory Risk and Compliance working groups.
  • Liaise with external partners and service providers on oversight requests and regulatory expectations.
  • Coordinate and deliver compliance and risk-related training.
  • Prepare management information for governance reporting and regulatory submissions.
  • Track regulatory deadlines, maintain regulatory interaction logs, and prepare for inspections.
  • Respond to compliance-related requests and regulatory inquiries with internal teams.
  • Remediate regulatory oversight findings and enhance controls with the first line of defence.
  • Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate regulatory risks.
  • Support audits and compliance reviews and oversee remediation of findings.
