About the Role
You will develop advanced manufacturing sensing and control capabilities. You will design and implement algorithms, collaborate with external research partners, pursue research funding, and communicate results through presentations, reports, and publications.
Requirements
- PhD in an Engineering discipline, Computer Science, or a related field
- At least two years of relevant experience
- Expertise in systems dynamics and controls, automation, and/or robotics
- Experience developing and implementing advanced controls and sensing algorithms
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills demonstrated through reports, papers, and presentations
- Qualify for export-controlled technology access without an export control license
- Obtain and maintain a federal PIV card
- Pass a Federal Tier 1 background check
Responsibilities
- Work on partnerships with industry, universities, and national laboratories
- Develop proposals and pursue research funding
- Design and implement advanced sensing and controls algorithms for manufacturing
- Communicate research results through presentations, reports, conference papers, and peer-reviewed journals
