About the Role
You will own the order book, perpetuals engine, risk systems, margin logic, and leverage mechanisms. You will tune market parameters, create on-chain financial primitives, build and operate an internal market maker, coordinate external liquidity, monitor live markets for anomalies, and refine safeguards using actual trading activity and research findings.
Requirements
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of market microstructure, order books, matching, perpetuals, margin, liquidation, and funding mechanics
- Bring hands-on experience in market making, quantitative trading, or exchange and trading-system design or operation
- Translate market expertise into production code using Python, Rust, C++, or Go
- Reason about correctness and edge cases under live trading conditions
- Bring DeFi or on-chain trading experience as an advantage
- Bring experience with low-latency or high-frequency trading systems as an advantage
- Understand blockchains, consensus, or distributed systems as an advantage
Responsibilities
- Improve and maintain the order book, perpetuals engine, risk engine, and leverage and margin systems
- Configure funding, fees, tick sizes, lot sizes, margin tiers, and liquidation thresholds
- Launch and operate new markets
- Design and ship vaults, protocol AMMs, prediction markets, and other on-chain derivatives
- Build and operate an internal market maker
- Partner with external market makers to increase liquidity
- Monitor live markets for health, risk, and anomalies
- Adjust market parameters and safeguards in response to trading activity
- Collaborate on incentive design, batch auction mechanics, and settlement models
