About the Role
You will investigate edge cases and user workflows to ensure the software behaves correctly. You will write end-to-end tests using Cucumber, Cypress, and Playwright, investigate defects, and help prevent recurrence through improved quality assurance systems. You will turn product specifications into testable units, automate quality practices, define release-quality metrics, and improve specification documentation after defects are resolved.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a First or 2:1, preferably in a technical subject
- Scripting experience in Python, Bash, JavaScript, Ansible, or SQL
Responsibilities
- Investigate edge cases and user workflows to validate software behaviour
- Write end-to-end tests using Cucumber, Cypress, and Playwright
- Investigate defects, assist with their resolution, and improve systems to prevent recurrence
- Translate product specifications and expected behaviour into testable units
- Automate quality assurance practices and implement release-quality metrics
- Improve product specification documents following defects and for misunderstood behaviours
