About the Role
You will build, assemble, and maintain prototype hardware from CAD files and BOMs. You will operate workshop equipment, prototype test rigs with MCU platforms, support trials and demos, troubleshoot and repair hardware, manage parts inventory, and document build feedback for design decisions.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of physical hardware or robotics prototyping experience
- Mechanical or mechatronic engineering knowledge
- 3D printing skills
- Hand tool and basic machining skills
- Soldering and cable harness assembly skills
- Experience with ESP32 Raspberry Pi breadboarding and circuit assembly
- Ability to read CAD drawings and BOMs
- Experience building test rigs and supporting hardware tests
- Organisational skills
Responsibilities
- Build assemble and maintain prototype hardware
- Operate 3D printers CNC equipment and workshop tools
- Prototype test rigs using MCU platforms
- Build set up and run test rigs and validation jigs
- Support hardware testing trials and demo sessions
- Troubleshoot and repair prototype hardware
- Manage the prototyping shop and parts inventory
- Document build issues and provide design feedback
