About the Role

You will develop risk-assessment frameworks for new product features and lead comprehensive safety reviews. You will analyze misuse and harmful-output risks, translate findings into mitigations, design tailored evaluations, and deliver policy recommendations and risk reports to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Technical background and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Knowledge of safety policies across product surfaces
• Ability to prioritize safety-mitigation resources in a high-volume launch process
• Experience conducting risk evaluations of novel products
• Experience integrating safety considerations with product and engineering teams
• Knowledge of AI ethics, responsible AI principles, AI safety, and AI governance
• Ability to identify technology misuse and develop mitigations
• Program management skills for policy development and implementation

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain risk-assessment frameworks for new product features
• Conduct comprehensive product safety reviews
• Collaborate with product, engineering, legal, policy, and Safeguards stakeholders
• Analyze misuse, unintended consequences, and harmful outputs
• Translate risk analysis into mitigation delivery
• Use subject-matter-expert assessments to make safety recommendations
• Design and run tailored product evaluations
• Craft responsible AI policy recommendations
• Monitor AI industry trends and emerging risks
• Report product-policy risks and mitigations to senior leadership
