About the Role

You will create the vision and interaction patterns for AI-native product experiences. You will research users, test prototypes, lead design from concept through implementation review, establish design systems, and collaborate with product managers, engineers, researchers, and external designers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer or in a similar software-product role
• Experience leading design from concept through delivery and post-release improvement
• Cross-functional product development experience
• User research
• Usability testing
• Experience improving product experience through qualitative and quantitative insights
• Information architecture
• Prototyping
• Design specifications
• Interaction design
• Visual design

• High-level Japanese and English communication

Responsibilities

• Create a vision for product experiences
• Design AI-native interaction patterns that account for uncertainty, failure, explainability, user oversight, and trust
• Validate design hypotheses through user interviews, usability testing, and prototype validation
• Lead concept design, experience design, UI design, prototyping, implementation reviews, branding, and communication design
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and researchers to make product-direction decisions
• Establish and maintain design systems, UI patterns, AI interaction patterns, and component design across products
• Create testable prototypes using prototyping, design, and coding tools
• Lead design culture through reviews, research sharing, and collaboration with external designers
