About the Role
You will own product safety certification and compliance strategy from system design through commercial launch. You will define certification roadmaps, lead testing and certification, interface with laboratories and certification bodies, perform hazard analyses, translate hazards into safety requirements, and validate those requirements in development and mass production.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of product safety engineering experience in regulated hardware domains.
- Familiarity with safety certifications and compliance for humanoid robots, collaborative robots, ADAS systems, AMRs, or autonomous systems.
- Working knowledge of product safety and functional safety standards.
- Experience leading UL, IEC, and CE certification programs from design through approval.
- Ability to collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end product safety certification and compliance strategy for humanoid robots and ecosystem products.
- Navigate safety standards and define the certification roadmap.
- Lead product-line testing and certification as the primary interface with NRTLs, test laboratories, and certification bodies.
- Apply safety methodologies throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Lead HARA, FMEA, and FTA hazard-analysis activities.
- Translate hazards into verifiable safety requirements across hardware, software, and controls.
- Validate safety requirements in development and mass-production settings.
