About the Role
You will own end-to-end purchasing for research organizations, from intake through signed agreements, purchase orders, receipts, accruals, and close. You will coordinate Legal, Security, Finance, vendors, and requesters; resolve invoice issues; support new programs; and improve procurement workflows.
Requirements
- Own high-volume purchasing portfolios in procure-to-pay and intake platforms
- Understand accrual accounting, general-ledger coding, prepaids, expenses, and cutoffs
- Support outsourced or managed-service vendors at scale
- Understand contract, security, privacy, and financial-control reviews
Responsibilities
- Manage purchase requests, work orders, and change orders
- Guide requesters from purchase intake to signed agreement and issued purchase order
- Review vendor records, documents, categorization, service dates, and approvals
- Route requests for contract, security, privacy, and risk reviews
- Structure and manage purchase orders, renewals, changes, and closures
- Code purchase orders and maintain accurate financial records
- Review accruals, receipts, open purchase orders, and reconciliations
- Resolve invoice holds and purchase-order mismatches
- Support new research programs and communicate purchasing requirements
- Maintain procurement playbooks and improve intake workflows
