About the Role
You will define storage architecture and roadmaps for AI servers and data centers. You will optimize Linux storage performance, design storage topologies and control planes, guide device lifecycle management and telemetry, resolve complex failures, and lead cross-functional architecture decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree, or equivalent practical experience, in a relevant technical field
- Extensive storage engineering and architecture experience in AI, high-performance computing, hyperscale, or large data center environments
- Knowledge of NVMe, PCIe Gen5 or Gen6, NAND flash, SSD form factors, endurance, firmware, and lifecycle management
- Knowledge of Linux storage internals, block layer, I/O schedulers, direct I/O, drivers, and file systems
- Experience with fio, blktrace, iostat, and perf
- Python and Bash automation experience using structured data formats and REST APIs
- Experience diagnosing complex hardware and software interactions
- Experience defining fleet-scale storage telemetry and operational response criteria
Responsibilities
- Define storage architecture and technology roadmaps for local, disaggregated, and distributed storage
- Design storage topologies and data paths across CPUs, AI accelerators, memory, networks, and storage
- Lead storage control-plane and data-plane architecture
- Profile and tune Linux storage stacks, I/O paths, file systems, and drivers
- Optimize storage for model checkpointing, key-value cache offload, data ingestion, and accelerator data movement
- Set direction for NVMe SSD lifecycle management
- Define telemetry and alerting requirements for storage health and performance
- Guide automation frameworks for storage performance, reliability, and compatibility
- Lead root-cause analysis for storage failures and performance degradation
- Partner with vendors and internal teams to select, integrate, and deploy storage platforms
Benefits
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage
- Mental health, wellness, and employee-assistance resources
- Retirement savings benefits and company contributions
- Paid vacation, sick time, holidays, and parental or family leave
- Life insurance and short-term or long-term disability coverage
- Flexible working hours and hybrid working arrangements where compatible
- Office amenities and team-led activities
