About the Role
You will devise strategies to identify and optimize lead molecules for potency, selectivity, and ADME properties. You will apply modern organic chemistry, synthetic methods, parallel experimentation, computational methods, automated synthesis, and high-throughput experimentation. You will collaborate with scientific and AI teams, develop predictive models, and communicate project updates.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in chemistry with a focus on synthetic organic chemistry
- Small-molecule drug discovery experience in biotechnology or pharmaceuticals
- 15+ years of experience with a BS, 12+ years with an MS, or 8+ years with a PhD
- Experience advancing programs from leads to advanced candidates
- Lead compound optimization experience for potency, selectivity, ADME, and PK
- Modern synthetic organic chemistry expertise
- Experience working with computational chemists in drug-target design
- Project planning
