About the Role
You will own network technical strategy, standards, and major customer relationships. You will design and operate fabric, backbone, and edge networks, resolve cross-functional technical issues, lead projects from design through delivery, mentor engineers, and participate in on-call operations.
Requirements
- 8+ years in cloud computing, systems engineering, or large-scale network infrastructure
- Experience designing, building, and operating production data-center or cloud networks
- Experience with software-defined networking services and highly available distributed systems
- Experience leading large production networking projects
- Cloud-provider networking experience with AWS, GCP, or OCI
- Expertise in data-center, backbone, and internet protocols
- Linux networking stack knowledge
- Python automation, configuration management, network APIs, and source control
- Experience with network vendors including Arista, Juniper, Cisco, Cumulus/SONiC, or Opengear
- Experience with Datadog, ClickHouse, Grafana, Prometheus, gNMI, or OpenTelemetry
Responsibilities
- Own multi-year network strategy across fabric, backbone, and edge
- Set technical direction and engineering standards
- Guide enterprise customers on mission-critical projects
- Resolve cross-functional technical ambiguity
- Design and deliver network work end to end
- Mentor engineers through design review and hiring
- Participate in day-two operations and on-call rotation
- Identify opportunities to improve customer availability and performance
