About the Role
You will provide technical support for customer high-speed I/O designs, from assessment and design discussions through design reviews and hardware debugging. You will develop proposals, train field application engineers, create technical materials and reference designs, and coordinate customer design-win support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience in high-speed serial I/O design in the high-tech electronics industry
- Knowledge of transceiver architecture, CDR, and DFE
- Knowledge of signal-integrity and power-integrity simulation and hardware design
- Familiarity with SI/PI EDA simulation tools and models, including Keysight ADS
- Customer-facing communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience delivering technical presentations to executive management, engineering teams, and clients
- Experience with silicon photonics or optical transceivers
- Knowledge of semiconductor and laser technology
- Knowledge of digital signal-processing theory and MATLAB Simulink
- Experience with analog and mixed-signal design, ADC, and DAC design
- C or C++ experience
- Customer-facing domain expertise in silicon photonics or optics
- Experience supporting optics deployment in data-center environments at scale
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for customer high-speed I/O designs, including assessment, design discussions, reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting
- Develop and deliver technical proposals based on customer requirements and system architecture
- Train field application engineers on high-speed I/O design
- Create and share technical articles and reference designs
- Collaborate with engineering to support customer design wins and communicate progress to customer engineering leads
