About the Role
You will own data correctness across client-facing services, lead data quality engineering, and operate reference and security master data. You will continuously validate REST, WebSocket, and cloud-delivered data against independent sources, build adaptive checks, test resilience and load, investigate faults, and drive their resolution. You will also maintain data governance tooling, catalog data assets and lineage, and build the next-generation security master platform.
Requirements
- Experience leading data QA or data quality teams
- Understanding of streaming and API behavior, including throughput, WebSocket semantics, ordering, recovery, and failure modes
- Experience inventorying and testing a large API and data surface end to end
- Experience with data governance, cataloging, lineage, and ownership
- Experience with performance and load testing distributed systems
- Strong engineering and platform-design background
- Experience applying LLM and agentic tooling to engineering problems
- Experience with Flink, Doris, Dagster, Spark, OpenMetadata, or comparable tools
Responsibilities
- Lead AI-first data quality engineering
- Continuously validate client-facing REST and WebSocket endpoints and cloud-delivered data
- Verify streaming sequencing, gap detection, snapshot consistency, reconnect and replay correctness, subscription staleness, and REST-to-stream agreement
- Build adaptive detection baselines for endpoints and markets
- Apply LLM and agentic tooling to generate, maintain, and triage data-quality checks
- Design load, performance, and failure-mode tests
- Raise faults with evidence, drive resolution, and add preventative checks
- Measure and publish coverage, detection, and false-positive metrics
- Build and maintain a catalog of data assets, APIs, lineage, and downstream consumers
- Own data governance tooling such as OpenMetadata
- Build and operate the security master platform, including listings, symbol mapping, and contract specifications
- Design safe validation and rollback processes for security-entry updates
- Extend data-quality coverage to trade signals and analytics
