About the Role

You will own full-lifecycle engineering design for the Spark modular data center product line. You will lead electrical, structural, and thermal design, apply design-for-manufacturing practices, ensure safety compliance, develop factory acceptance testing, manage external partners, lead liquid-cooling transitions, and deliver complete engineering packages.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 10+ years of progressive engineering experience in data center design, modular infrastructure, or industrial power systems
  • 10+ years of experience managing external design engineering partners with budget and schedule accountability
  • Mastery of medium-voltage power distribution
  • Expertise in structural analysis for containerized systems
  • Knowledge of heat transfer fundamentals
  • Experience with seismic and wind load calculations
  • Expert knowledge of NFPA 70E and arc flash hazard analysis
  • Knowledge of UL and CE compliance
  • Proficiency with CAD/BIM platforms, electrical single-line design tools, or thermal simulation software
  • Master's degree and active PE license are strongly preferred
  • HPC and large-scale AI workload experience is preferred
  • Agency certification experience is preferred
  • Experience scaling products from prototype through high-volume production is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Drive medium- and low-voltage electrical architecture
  • Lead structural enclosure design
  • Lead thermal management for DLC and CDU systems
  • Apply design-for-manufacturing practices to design revisions
  • Ensure compliance with UL, CE, NEC, NFPA, and OSHA standards
  • Develop and improve factory acceptance testing protocols
  • Manage external design firms and specialty consultants
  • Lead systems engineering for the transition to liquid cooling
  • Own drawings, specifications, BOMs, and interface control documents
  • Deliver engineering packages for manufacturing handoff
