About the Role

You will source and evaluate startup investment opportunities, lead due diligence, and execute approved investments from term sheet to close. You will build relationships with founders, lead investors, and industry partners; support fundraising and investor relations; and actively manage portfolio companies through performance tracking, CEO check-ins, and strategic guidance.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, consulting, or startups.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Track record of independently sourcing and helping close deals, supported by a strong personal network.
  • Experience leading or playing a major role in due diligence and producing clear investment recommendations.
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, and Gemini.

Responsibilities

  • Develop investment theses and proactively source qualified investment opportunities.
  • Lead initial due diligence by engaging founders, customers, and market data.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging opportunities.
  • Execute approved investments from term sheet to close.
  • Build and maintain relationships with founders, venture capitalists, and industry experts.
  • Support fundraising and investor relations through events, webinars, and writing.
  • Manage and support portfolio companies through CEO check-ins, performance tracking, and strategic guidance.
