About the Role
You will lead power characterization and validation for ASIC and mezzanine-card platforms. You will design measurement methods and test benches, validate PDN performance and sequencing, run stress tests, automate qualification procedures, investigate failures, analyze results, and report findings for silicon, firmware, and hardware teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Understanding of ASIC and system-level power delivery, including VRM topology, PDN impedance, decoupling strategy, and transient response
- Bench experience with precision shunts, isolated differential probes, and VNA-based PDN impedance measurement
- Expertise with multi-phase solutions with high dynamic content and low tolerance
- Experience tuning voltage regulators to a defined power test plan
- Ability to design root-cause experiments in complex hardware-software stacks
- Oscilloscope and lab-instrument fluency
- Experience with silicon bring-up
Responsibilities
- Design and execute power-measurement campaigns across voltage rails
- Validate PDN performance and provide design feedback
- Profile power transient events and build automated power-sweep frameworks
- Run extended stress workloads and support production testing and debugging
- Validate power sequencing, PMBus telemetry, and BMC alert thresholds
- Feed characterization data to RTL and physical-design teams
- Lead electrical characterization, validation, and qualification of the system power-distribution network
- Support debug, component validation, and failure analysis
- Develop automated test procedures for DUT qualification and testing
- Collect, analyze, and aggregate test data and generate reports
- Collaborate with hardware and diagnostics teams to support testing and debug
