About the Role
You will own a power-electronics project and contribute across concept development, modeling, analysis, schematic capture, simulation, prototyping, bring-up, verification, integration, and flight-test support. You will design power systems, collaborate on PCB layout, perform testing and debugging, and support qualification testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- Technical fundamentals in circuits, electronics, and power systems
- Hands-on experience with power electronics through coursework, labs, clubs, or internships
- Familiarity with electrical design tools such as Altium or KiCad
- Experience using oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, and multimeters
- Engineering team, club, or hands-on project experience
- Ability to obtain S//SAR security clearance desired
Responsibilities
- Own a power-electronics design project
- Develop hardware from concept through flight-test support
- Design low-voltage and high-voltage power systems
- Design DC-DC converters, inverters, motor controllers, battery systems, power distribution, and protection circuits
- Balance efficiency, thermal constraints, EMI/EMC performance, and reliability
- Partner on PCB layout for power density, thermal performance, EMI mitigation, and manufacturability
- Perform board bring-up, debugging, root-cause analysis, and validation
- Support environmental, stress, and qualification testing
- Collaborate on system integration
- Maintain documentation and engineering risk reduction
