About the Role

You will conduct, coordinate, and report complex research assignments involving advanced thermal and energy systems. You will develop prototypes, synthesize and analyze materials, perform testing, analyze results, and prepare publications. You will prepare technical reports, presentations, and project deliverables while collaborating with researchers, engineers, and stakeholders across organizations.

Requirements

  • PhD in mechanical, chemical, materials, or electrical engineering, or a related discipline obtained within the last 5 years
  • At least 3 years of experience designing and operating experimental thermal or fluid systems
  • Experience with mechanical or chemical systems and instrumentation
  • Experience with fluid dynamics, combustion, and heat transfer
  • Experience with thermal and mechanical characterization
  • Proven publication record
  • Complete all degree requirements before starting the appointment
  • Submit three letters of reference
  • Obtain and maintain required employment credentialing
