About the Role

You will develop technical safety practices, standards, and governance proposals for frontier AI. You will review legislation, contribute research and analysis, participate in standards initiatives, engage external governance communities, and write decision memos and briefings.

Requirements

• Fluency in frontier AI safety and technical AI governance
• Ability to read and comment on legislative text
• Expertise in loss-of-control, alignment, compute governance, independent evaluation, model weight security, or risk reporting
• Strong writing for researchers, leadership, and policymakers
• Ability to translate technical topics into policy implications
• Ability to own projects end to end

Responsibilities

• Develop technical safety best practices and standards for frontier AI development
• Support cross-lab discussions and standards initiatives
• Represent the organization in key standards groups
• Review and provide input on frontier AI safety legislation
• Strengthen the frontier AI legislative framework with external affairs teams
• Develop policy proposals related to accelerating AI research and development
• Track external AI safety and governance thinking
• Write decision memos and briefings for leadership
