About the Role

You will design plumbing systems for data center buildings and prefabricated modules from concept through construction documents. You will perform hydraulic calculations, specify equipment, ensure code compliance, coordinate cooling-system interfaces, and support construction through commissioning.

Requirements

• Have 5+ years of plumbing or piping design engineering experience on industrial, mission-critical, or large commercial facilities
• Take at least one project through construction documents and commissioning
• Know IPC or UPC, IMC, local amendments, and permit-review processes
• Perform hydraulic calculations, pump and pipe sizing, backflow protection, and water-storage design
• Use Revit or AutoCAD MEP and a hydraulic modeling tool
• Review contractor submittals and answer RFIs
• Write contractor-ready specifications

Responsibilities

• Design domestic, process, make-up, condenser-water, drainage, and stormwater systems
• Produce plumbing designs from concept through construction documents
• Perform hydraulic calculations and size pumps, valves, backflow preventers, water heaters, piping, and storage
• Write technical specifications for vendors and contractors
• Ensure compliance with plumbing, mechanical, health, and local codes
• Manage permit and inspection questions
• Coordinate water treatment and blowdown with cooling, water-quality, and controls engineering
• Review contractor submittals and shop drawings, answer RFIs, and support commissioning
