About the Role
Maintain critical manufacturing equipment and facility systems, diagnose electrical and mechanical problems, perform preventive maintenance, repair PLCs and control systems, maintain utility equipment, enforce Lockout/Tagout procedures, support installations and upgrades, and guide other maintenance technicians.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in high- and low-voltage electrical systems in manufacturing; 10+ years preferred.
- In-depth understanding of relevant electrical codes.
- Experience with electrical installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Familiarity with city utilities, rotating machinery, air compressors, and CNC machinery.
- Proficiency with voltmeters, amp meters, and diagnostic tools.
- Experience with Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work effectively with managers, peers, and vendors.
- Ability to work in varied weather conditions and stand or sit for long periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Required participation in a drug and alcohol program.
- CMMS experience, preferably UpKeep, is a bonus.
- Experience in carpentry, HVAC, or plumbing is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical problems on manufacturing and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot CNC machines, PLCs, utility systems, and production equipment.
- Maintain electrical distribution systems, motors, generators, control panels, wiring, sensors, and related components.
- Maintain facility utility systems and building equipment.
- Plan, schedule, and execute preventive maintenance using a CMMS.
- Purchase parts, develop work instructions, and implement reliability improvements.
- Diagnose and repair PLC systems, control panels, wiring, fuses, breakers, and circuits.
- Interpret schematics and equipment manuals.
- Maintain compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain and enforce the Lockout/Tagout program.
- Collaborate with vendors, Engineering, and Operations on upgrades and installations.
- Provide guidance and support to other Maintenance Technicians.
