About the Role

You will design and implement production perception capabilities in modern C++. You will develop algorithms and libraries, integrate them into the runtime and SDK, diagnose system behavior, validate releases, document work, review designs and code, mentor engineers, and evaluate practical applications of foundation models.

Requirements

  • Significant experience delivering production C++ software for robotics, autonomy, perception, real-time systems, simulation, or complex technical products
  • Deep experience in object detection, object tracking, computer vision, image processing, sensor modeling, sensor fusion, estimation, or mapping
  • Ability to deliver maintainable software with interfaces, tests, diagnostics, documentation, and integration
  • Debugging and systems-thinking skills
  • Proficiency with Python tools for analysis, visualization, experimentation, or verification
  • Cross-functional collaboration and technical communication skills
  • Ability to adopt AI-assisted development tools with human review and validation

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement production perception capabilities in modern C++
  • Develop algorithms and libraries and integrate them into the Pilot runtime
  • Deliver SDK validation, documentation, and release readiness
  • Develop capabilities for detection, tracking, computer vision, image processing, mapping, and sensor fusion
  • Work with sensor data contracts, coordinate frames, timing, configuration, simulation, and embedded deployment
  • Diagnose system behavior using source code, logs, sensor data, simulation, and experiments
  • Drive corrective actions and regression coverage
  • Participate in design and code reviews
  • Mentor engineers and improve architecture and engineering practices
  • Evaluate foundation-model capabilities for perception workflows
