About the Role

You will define and drive the clinical research and evaluation agenda for global health. You will design validation frameworks for clinical AI, develop outcome metrics, manage research partnerships, engage regulators, and improve clinical tools for low-resource settings.

Requirements

• Medical training and clinical practice experience
• Direct experience delivering care in low-resource settings
• Understanding of clinical and care-delivery workflows in low- and middle-income countries
• Experience evaluating or validating clinical AI or machine-learning tools
• Expertise in clinical research and evidence generation for digital health or AI tools
• Knowledge of clinical AI regulation, WHO processes, national authorities, and research ethics
• Experience building research partnerships with academic and in-country researchers
• Willingness to travel regularly to research and partner sites approximately 25%

Responsibilities

• Own the clinical research and evaluation agenda for global health work
• Design clinical evaluation and validation frameworks for LLMs in low- and middle-income country contexts
• Develop theories of change and outcome metrics for care quality, health-worker performance, and patient outcomes
• Build and manage global research partnerships
• Engage regulatory and normative bodies
• Partner with research and product teams to improve Claude for clinical use cases in low-resource settings
• Contribute to global health strategy and adjacent workstreams
