About the Role
You will research and develop Vision-Language-Action systems for industrial robotics. You will create multimodal datasets and training pipelines, optimize models, run evaluations and benchmarks, help transition prototypes into production systems, and document and present research findings.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in a PhD program in Robotics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Python
- Deep learning framework experience including PyTorch
- Understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and multimodal models
- Ability to conduct independent research and drive projects from idea to results
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Vision-Language-Action approaches for industrial settings
- Explore scalable multimodal reasoning and action-generation architectures
- Design and analyze large-scale multimodal datasets
- Develop dataset-generation pipelines for VLA training
- Build, adapt, and extend VLM and VLA models
- Apply fine-tuning, alignment, prompt optimization, reasoning augmentation, and action-grounding techniques
- Design evaluation protocols and run large-scale experiments
- Benchmark models against state-of-the-art approaches and internal baselines
- Optimize models for real-time inference, robustness, and safety
- Document findings and contribute to publications, technical reports, or patents
