About the Role
The OTC Trader will support client flows, manage trading risk, improve pricing and risk models, use electronic and voice trading channels, contribute to research and product development, and mentor junior team members.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as an OTC trader in the cryptocurrency space.
- Demonstrated ability to convert institutional prospects into trading clients.
- Expertise in complex trade execution and risk management.
- Deep crypto market microstructure knowledge.
- Expert knowledge of electronic and voice trading.
- Strong client-facing abilities.
- Comfort using and modifying Python code; Python expertise is not required.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate client hedging needs while providing best-in-class service.
- Manage risk exposures within the company's risk appetite.
- Build and optimize pricing models, risk models, and governing controls.
- Increase trading desk automation and collaborate with Engineering and Data Science.
- Follow market narratives and contribute to internal research.
- Help inform new trading products and capabilities.
- Respond to changing exposures and client requests, including weekend and off-hours rotations.
- Provide input to the trading technology roadmap.
- Share knowledge across stakeholder teams.
- Develop client interactions and execution strategies based on market themes and liquidity.
- Represent the Trading Solutions perspective across departments and with clients.
- Mentor junior team members and improve trading desk processes.
