About the Role
You will join a lean but dedicated team working across multiple communities, platforms and games such as Black Desert, Shadow Arena and upcoming releases such as Crimson Desert, DokeV and PLAN 8. You will effectively and independently handle communication through various channels between the South-Korean HQ and the European office's stakeholders, including PR, Live-Ops and Marketing teams. You will translate internal documents such as content updates, plans, patch notes, community reports, planning documents for marketing, public relations, marketing assets, and internal Slack or e-mail communications. You will take care of ad-hoc projects as needed and handle other duties as assigned in and outside of translation. This role requires discipline to adhere to production schedules and meet deadlines, and may require evening and weekend hours.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent proven work experience in translation
- Bilingual fluency in English and Korean language
- Ability to excel in a team environment and build/maintain positive relationships through strong collaboration
- Ability to quickly adapt to different fields of expertise to assist various colleagues
- Ability to roll up their sleeves and get any job done
- May require evening and weekend hours
- Avid Black Desert Online player (preferred)
- Passion for video games (preferred)
- Experience with Slack, Google Docs, Microsoft Office software as a service platform (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Communicate in both English and Korean, reading, writing, and speaking
- Handle communication through various channels between the South-Korean HQ and European office's stakeholders (PR, Live-Ops, Marketing, etc.)
- Translate internal documents including content updates, plans, patch notes, community reports, and planning documents
- Translate marketing assets and internal Slack or e-mail communications
- Take care of ad-hoc projects as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned in and outside of translation
